(Pay no attention to that long hiatus behind the curtain, or something.)

Your humble mod (and still sole poster, it seems) returns, bearing...well, both good news and bad news.

Bad news first. The crossover I was posting...is still stuck. I see no progress being made on it for a while longer, while I work through other things and then attempt to get inspiration back on that one.

Good news, though! I do have plenty of chapters ready to go on the other one I was going to start posting, so that should still be possible. I also have other ideas to work on that I can share with that, and a nice long prompt list I plan on filling out and sharing here as well.

(Spitefics are a lovely thing. An entire prompt list of spitefics? It's like therapy, in a way. Possibly demented therapy, but therapy all the same.)

Looking over my active list, a lot of things seem to fall into magical girl territory. Hopefully that doesn't scare anyone off.

Soon to come here in FDD: updates again! Don't miss the next series:

Borders of Reality Side Special 1: Rainbow Remix

...yes, it's part of a series I have going. I'll make a post to explain things at a later time. For now, I focus on starting the chapter sharing. :)

Since the crossover I was posting is on a temporary hold while I work on other things, I figured I'd start posting completed chapters on another one I have going.

Yes, another crossover. Those following the current one will recognize at least two characters I'm using--no, this one isn't connected to that one. :)

I figure if I keep posting stuff here, I can urge myself to work more, and it means I have material to keep this place alive. For the few people still here, is anyone actually reading? If you are, and you have questions, I can answer things.

There's a fic-specific post for questions on the crossover I've been posting, and I can start one for the upcoming fic on request.

With that, I'll begin with sharing the next one. Hopefully I'm able to get back to working on everything on my active list. It's a long one!

So this is basically an offshoot of the full disclaimer entry, where we get into more details and such. If anyone does feel like asking questions, here's the place to do it!

In the meantime, working on the next chapter. Real life gets in the way sometimes...

Wondering who the stand-in girls are? Why I chose them, what sort of powers they have, what their full names are?

Why is this sue so important? Who's this "fourth goddess" mentioned? Why the jewelry?

...and so on and so forth. Example questions and stuff. Want to know things without major story spoilers? Now's the time. Granted, I'm trying to fit all this stuff into the story so I don't need the huge question posts, but since it's still early on, figured I'd pull this together just in case. Inspire some discussion or whatever. :)

So yes, anyone watching, feel free to drop a comment or two...or more, if you want!

[identity profile] virgo186.livejournal.com
So yeah, that's where I am currently. This post here is basically a full disclaimer and all that.

The sue I claim to not own? Actually did exist once. This fic's version is slightly toned down. Instead of being in her first person, we dive into her mind every so often--it's when I break out the italics, for the most part. She has a lot to think about!

I also don't own either game series, or their respective character sets. The most I own character-wise? The named background cast. Expect to see more of Eleanor and Arthur, at least, though I might try and sneak a few more cameos in of snarky Elizabeth.

The idea for this actually came from reading a few old suefic sporkings, including the major one that Jenna-sue originated from. I thought that hey, could make a decent challenge with this.

...and then it became a crossover idea, because hey, the stand-in trio would be interesting because they have powers similar to the actual goddesses. They also come from a world that's not connected to Hyrule, so they have some advantages when it comes to reality-warping villains and the like.

(After all, their world has a different sort of reality warper, but she's not a villain. Well, okay, she was a boss character once, but she's gotten better.)

I also wanted to actually show the sue having to work for things. Work for her temporary lodgings, her friendships, and especially her romance with the hero. None of this "hey we just met but omg you're like the greatest person I ever met be mine plz" or whatever.

The prologue, with the "without belief, goddesses can't exist" thing? You all can thank Sanae for that, as her own storyline in her series involved that very topic! :) She actually was uprooted without much warning, as the goddesses of her shrine needed a change of location so they could save themselves from fading away.

So why wouldn't the same work here, if the canon goddess trio got edged out by a newbie?

This is still a work in progress, so I will post chapters as I complete them. Figured I'd get the rest up, anyway, in case people wanted to see them. I feel a little more confident, anyway.

If I get anything else written for any of the other ideas I have going, well, that will get posted as well. So stay tuned!

[identity profile] virgo186.livejournal.com
If I have to do the work myself, I will! :)

Starting us off with a little from my own journal, and I figure I'll just post the entry link since the entire thing is pretty fic-related.

I can try and dig up challenges or prompt things or something if people want, but for now, I guess I'll provide my own stuff until things perk back up again. Hey, this does give me a place to share any random fic I come up with, right?

(It can also be a dumping ground for idea-tossing sessions or whatever. Not picky!)

So yes, current members...tell your friends. Bring your friends. Have them bring theirs.

Maybe I'll also see about sprucing up the community a little. I'm not so great with things like background coding or whatever, but if anyone wants to help, I'd be good with volunteers. Maybe at least a page-layout change. I'll see what's around.

I won't let this place go yet.

[identity profile] virgo186.livejournal.com
...which, I know, it's not much. The place is so quiet I actually did get an email saying that the powers that be are thinking of getting rid of this place. I'm not sure if I want that or not.

If anyone still here (all four of us) wants to post things, it's still open for now. I might see about grabbing some of my own stuff to fill in some space. No limits here, we can post fanfic and art and whatever.

If it does die out, well...I suppose I tried.

[identity profile] virgo186.livejournal.com
Well, this place died out rather quickly. The remaining posts, I will keep--they're nice to read, anyway.

Those who remain as members, this place would've been slated for deletion (or at least inactivity risking deletion) if I hadn't decided to step in. I know, I'm a pretty lousy mod.

I want to revive this, so those of you left (all...three of us, I think?), tell your friends. This place is still open for posting, as is the sister community, RPW. Come post, we're very quiet.

Let's see if we can do something with this, to bring it back. Rules and profile have been updated.
